Public Works Report at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday of last week.It was stated that the Willow Road Culvert project is complete, everything went well during the Owen Jr. Fair and painting curbs, parking lines and hydrants was completed before the Fair. The Public Works Director attended a water loss training sponsored by S.E.H. on June 18th. The training was free and a lot of knowledge was gained.
The council also approved the appeal for an Operator's License to Julie Oestrich with the stipulation that if any laws are broken at the establishment where she works, her license will be revoked. The council also approved the Compliance Maintenance 2014 Annual Report to the DNR under Resolution #2015-12. And they approved the Personnel Committees recommendation to hire Tim Swiggum for the City position of Community Development Coordinator at 40 hours per week, $12.99/hour and to use flex time when attending evening and some weekend events or meetings.
