Clark County Tourism Committee Meeting, County Fair

-The Clark County Tourism Committee discussed the upcoming Clark County Fair at their meeting on Wednesday.The committee is helping getting the posters out around the county and Economic Development and the Tourism Bureau will have booths at the fair talking about their many projects. They would also like to have other items featured like the Friends of the Fairgrounds and more.
They heard an update on the Broadband Consortium as well. They have a meeting scheduled next week in Thorp. And they're meeting with providers soon to show them what they need and why. Having better internet connectivity will also help with alumni recruitment and filling open jobs.
Finally, it was mentioned that they're working on the 2016 budget, county sales tax revenue is going strong and a member from WHEDA will be here on August 26th. The finished the meeting hearing about how county events have gone so far this year and what are the ones coming up.
