Employment Matters at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting on Monday.The board accepted the resignation of Ms. Brushaber, who has accepted a teaching position in Medford and the resignation of Mr. Mears, who has accepted a teaching position in the Luxemburg-Casco School District. The board thanks both Ms. Brushaber and Mr. Mears for everything they've done for the district and wish them well in their new endeavors.
The board also unanimously approved the hiring of Ms. Carpenter to replace Kathy Winger as the district's Jr/Sr High Science teacher. Ms. Carpenter has taught at Owen-Withee, Abbotsford and most recently at Wausau Newman. They also unanimously approved the hiring of Kimberly Rice to replace Andree Brushaber as the district's elementary Special Ed/Title I teacher. Ms. Rice has taught in Cadott, Bloomer and most recently in Turtle Lake.
Finally, the board unanimously approved hiring Ms. Lange as the district's JV volleyball coach.
