Neillsville Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Assault of a Child and Incest

-A Neillsville man charged with sexual assault and incest entered a plea in Clark County Court on Friday.According to the criminal complaints for two separate cases, the 66-year-old man is accused of inappropriately touching young members of his own family. One incident occurred back in 2007 while another occurred in 2013. The man claimed that what he did was not intended to be sexual and he was just hugging the victims.
The 66-year-old has two cases against him. In one, he's charged with two counts of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child and two counts of incest with child. In the other, he's charged with 4th degree sexual assault and incest with a child. During the plea hearing, in one case, the man entered a guilty plea to 4th degree sexual assault of a child and the incest with a child charge was dismissed and read in. In the other case, he entered a guilty plea to 2nd degree sexual assault of a child and incest with a child while another count of both charges was dismissed and read in.
The judge then found the 66-year-old guilty of the crimes, a pre-sentencing investigation was order with both attorneys free to argue sentencing and a sentencing date was set for September 23rd.
