Clark County Tourism Committee Meeting, Forestry and Parks Department Report

-The Clark County Tourism Committee met for their monthly meeting on Wednesday afternoon.The committee heard an update from the Forestry and Parks Department as they work very close together with many initiatives. It was mentioned that the Sherwood Lake dredging project is on track and the Friends of Sherwood Lake are doing a fantastic job raising funds. It was also stated that the repairs to Sherwood Dam will be budgeted for in 2016.
Finally, it was mentioned that the storms from earlier this week did some damage to the county trail systems, but they've since been cleaned up and repaired. They are also working on the Outdoor Recreation Plan.
It was also mentioned that the committee is making brochures for specific items in the county like greenhouses, maple syrup locations, honey location and more.
