Neillsville City Council Approves Hiring of New Waste Water Operator

-The Neillsville City Council approved the hiring of a new Waste Water Operator.The hiring process was done over two Personnel Committee meetings. The first was on Tuesday, June 30th. At that time, they offered the position to Brian Geiger, but he turned down their offer. They held a 2nd meeting on Monday, July 13th and offered the position to Dan Bautch. He would start at $16.50 an hour and have a $1 increase after he passes the Waste Water Grade 1 Certification Requirements. The council then approved the hiring during their meeting on Tuesday.
The council also approved the formation of a sub-committee, within the Economic Development Committee, to work with the Connect Communities Program. They also approved paying $200 from Economic Development to pay the initial cost of getting started in the program. Finally, Julie Counsell was accepted as the new member of the Tourism Committee.
