Neillsville City Council Hears Maintenance Annual Report

Wednesday, July 15th, 2015 -- 9:47 AM

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Compliance Maintenance Annual Report during the Public Works portion of the meeting.

The report is like a report card for the Waste Water Treatment Facility Plant. Some highlights include the number of times the plant had an inffluent rate greater than 90% was 6. The number of times the plant had an inffluent rate greater than 100% was 5. These are typical during the summer months when we receive a downpour of rain. The facility received a B grade in regards to those numbers.

The facility also got an A for effluent quality and a B for effluent phosphorous levels. The phosphorous levels and grades are in limbo as the DNR, State and Municipalities find a way to lower phosphorous in water without having it be too costly. The report was approved during the public works portion of the meeting and sent to the Common Council as a resolution and it was approved there as well.
