O-W Enterprise Celebrates the Re-Opening of their Former Office Building

Monday, July 13th, 2015 -- 11:38 AM

-The O-W Enterprise celebrated the re-opening of their former building in Owen on Friday afternoon.

Just over one year ago, a fire tore through the building that contained the offices of the O-W Enterprise Newspaper and Company Store Fitness, LLC. It was determined that the fire was arson, but a culprit was never caught. Now the building has been rebuilt and although it was decided to not re-open Company Store Fitness, LLC, the building remains and has been converted into a beautiful, modern duplex. The O-W Enterprise continues to print a weekly paper in the new office they obtained in January of this year across the street.

State Senator Terry Moulton offered his congratulations to the paper.

"Some people sometimes ask me as a legislator, 'what's one of the most difficult parts of your job?' And sometimes I have said one of the most difficult parts is dealing with the press! Sometimes there's good news and sometimes there's bad news. But today, it's a lot of good news. I've always enjoyed interviewing with Cindy at the O-W Enterprise. She's always been kind and it's always been a pleasure."

Representative Bob Kulp was also on hand to offer his congratulations to the business and tour the new apartments. The owner of the O-W Enterprise, Nathan LePage talked about the history of the building, the paper, the fire and the process of rebuilding. He also explained the new name of the building, The Phoenix.

"After the fire, the O-W Enterprise staff and I adopted the motto 'We will not quit' and the symbol of a Phoenix, which is a mystical bird that rose out of the ashes that had to die a little in order to be reborn a stronger and wiser version of itself. My mother thought this would be a good name for the duplex, so that is what we christened it: The Phoenix. It's my hope that this building will inspire people not to run from adversity, challenges or tragedy, but to face these obstacles head-on and carry-on despite the odds and the naysayers and rise like a Phoenix from the flames and the ashes."

Congratulations to Nathan LePage and his staff at the OW-Enterprise.
