Owen City Council Approves Several Resolutions

-The Owen City Council approved a handful of resolutions and other items at their recent meeting.The council approved up to $1,500 to the Library Board and Committee planning the Library's 100th year Anniversary Celebration and Librarian Shirley Lehr's Retirement on July 29th. The council also approved the Amendment to the Employee Handbook's drug testing policy as presented and approved the Human Resources program through M3 for 1 year at $500.
The council also approved a resolution amending the Sewer Use Ordinance to include Sump Pump and Regulations Ordinance Sec. 9-2-5 (a), the resolution amending to the Ordinance Sec. 2-4-14 (a) to include Community Development Authority as excepted from the residency requirement and a resolution to amend to the Ordinance Sec. 7-2-15 (b) to read 6:00 a.m. instead of 8:00 a.m. according to State Stat. 125.68 (4) (b).
Finally, the council approved the Mayoral Appointment of Linda Susa to the Community Development Authority.
