Independence Day Ceremony at The Highground

-An Independence Day ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 4th at 10 a.m. at The Highground.The program will feature a speaker from Fort McCoy and music from TRISIS. Lieutenant Colonel Eric G. Beuerman will be the speaker. He is an Administrative Officer, 426th Regiment from Fort McCoy. TRISIS Vintage Vocal Trio will be providing music during the ceremony. Their musical performance is sponsored by JJ's Bakery of Marshfield, Gross Motors, Krier's Electric & Construction, Lang Furniture, Seehafer's Farm Creamery and The Cabinet Shop. Rib River DAV Chapter #31 will be present with a Color Guard and Rifle Unit. "Taps" will be performed by Alex Mohr.
Weather permitting, The Highground's Big Maps of the Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf (Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Afghanistan) will be displayed for Vietnam veterans and Gold Star families to sign. Persian Gulf veterans will also be able to sign on the base of The Persian Gulf Tribute. This Independence Day ceremony at The Highground will be a notable ceremony that all veterans and supporters of veterans will want to attend.
