Outdoor Warning Siren Testing Tomorrow in Neillsville and County Wide

Tuesday, June 30th, 2015 -- 9:32 AM

-The City of Neillsville will be testing the Tornado Siren on Wednesday, July 1st between 5 - 6 PM.

The siren will sound steady for 3 minutes and then shut off. If there happens to be a thunderstorm or adverse weather during that time period, the city won't conduct the test.

Just a reminder, there will now be monthly testing of Neillsville's city tornado siren system the first Wednesday of every month between 5-6 PM. This testing is necessary to ensure Neillsville's warning systems are working properly and will activate when needed.

And it's not just Neillsville that will be doing the testing, but all municipalities in the county will be testing the sirens on the 1st Wednesday of every month. There was some confusion last month when the sirens went off on the 1st Wednesday of June. This will continue to occur up to the winter months and resume in the spring.

If anyone has any questions they can contact their local police department, the Clark County Sheriff's Department or the Clark County Emergency Management Department.
