Scuba Diver Who Died at a Lake in Jackson County Identified

-The scuba diver who died at Wazee Lake Recreational Area in Jackson County has been identified.On Saturday, June 27th at about 11:30 AM, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a report of an unresponsive scuba diver at the lake Recreational in the Town of Brockway.
54-year-old Wendy Fassbender was participating in diving exercises when she was found unresponsive and not breathing. She was brought to the surface where lifesaving efforts began and the emergency medical system was activated. Fassbender was transported to a nearby medical facility where she was pronounced dead.
This case remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
