Fairchild Man Appears in Court for Misconduct in Office

-A Fairchild man charged with misconduct in office made an initial appearance in Jackson County Court on Friday.Phillip Hazard, who served as town clerk for the Town of Cleveland in Jackson County, is accused of calling his home a polling place during the 2015 spring election. Hazard was running for a supervisor position and the criminal complaint says there were biased results during the election.
A $1,000 cash bond was set for Hazard and he's not allowed to have an contact with ballots belonging to the Town of Cleveland.
