Medford Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident Near Portage

A Medford man has died after a motorcycle crash near Portage Thursday evening.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, two motorcycles were traveling on I-39 in Columbia County when they made contact with each other as they tried to navigate a curve.  Both motorcycles went into the ditch.

First responders attempted CPR on the man, but he died from his injuries.  The other motorcyclist was treated for minor injuries.  The accident is still under investigation.  The department hasn’t released the name of the man who died, but did say he was 45-years-old.
