Neillsville City Council Accepts Police Training Donation

-The Neillsville City Council approved a training donation for the Neillsville Police Department.An $868 donation came from the Marshfield Area Community Foundation and another $800 donation came from David and Barbara Boyer. The Marshfield Area Community Foundation is a philanthropy foundation that distributes funds for the Chris Boyer Scholarship Fund for depression and suicide awareness. David and Barbara are Chris' parents.
The donated funds will be used to cover the costs associated with sending 2 Neillsville Police Officers to Crisis Intervention Training which is a 5-day seminar offering training in psychiatric disorders, substances abuse issues, de-escalation techniques/scenarios and legal issues related to mental health.
