-A Boyceville man facing charges here in Clark County, including using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, entered a plea to the charges against him on Tuesday.According to the criminal complaint, a Thorp Police Officer received a report that Shawn Anderson was staying at the Heritage Court Motel in Thorp. The officer discovered there was a warrant out for the arrest of Anderson in Indiana. After arriving at the hotel, Anderson was discovered in a room with a 16-year-old girl.
The girl indicated that she had met Anderson on a social app and, after losing contact with him for a year, they began contacting each other again through Facebook and text messages. During this time, the man asked the girl to send a nude photo to him and he sent nude photos of himself to the girl.
The girl initially claimed that the first time she and Anderson met that had not had intercourse nor had they when she was caught with him in January. However, she later admitted that they had sex all three times they met and videos of the encounters were discovered on a cell phone as well.
Anderson was scheduled for a motion hearing on Tuesday, but the motions were dropped and he entered a guilty plea to a charge of exposing a child to harmful material and child enticement-recording. A charge of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and possession of child pornography were dismissed and read in. He'll be back in court September 18th for sentencing.
