Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators' reports at their meeting last week.Interim Administrator Mark Lacke shared talking points for board members concerning pending legislation for private school vouchers, home schooler participation in WIAA sports, using non-licensed teachers, special ed. funding for private schools and other issues. Area school participation in CWETN distance learning classes was shown. Members were briefed on a student accident insurance claim as well as a recent open records request from the WEAC for staff salary and benefit info.
High School Principal Todd Fischer spoke of August plans for community participation in the district Vision Statement development. He also briefed the board on draft PBIS/ student discipline model materials that will be incorporated into student handbooks for next year.
Finally, the board members gave a brief report. Mark Shain gave a CESA 10 board update on Mitel discussions and an open records request that they received. Bill Herr shared positive comments heard at the Greenwood Alumni banquet. Dr. Dean talked of several 'Thank Yous" extended by staff at recently held appreciation breakfast and the school ending 'Cook Out'.
