Greenwood School Board Approves Capital Purchases

-The Greenwood School Board approved a couple capital purchases at their meeting last week.As the finances are studied during the closing days of June, the purchase of a new school van and addressing HS plumbing needs projects were approved. Interviews are being conducted for the open MS/HS English position. Co-curricular assignments for 2015-16 were approved and contracts will be issued.
Also, several library polices have been updated and were approved. The Community Use policy for Weight Lifting usage was reviewed. During related discussions, the board approved using Fund 80, or the Community Service fund, while exploring options for the Fitness Center expansion and baseball field improvements.
Todd Fischer went over the Student Activities Code changes that occurred this year including a few minor adjustments that should be made. Continued communication with students, coaches and parents is vital.
