-Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc. is taking its first steps into becoming a statewide health insurance provider.In June, Security Health Plan began offering a Medicare Supplement throughout Wisconsin. A Medicare Supplement is especially appealing to people who are becoming Medicare eligible, because it can save them money and offer financial security by covering expenses not included in the standard Medicare plan.
Medicare Supplement is also a great choice for people who travel extensively or live part-time outside of Wisconsin, because it provides the same benefits when its members use doctors or other health care providers anywhere in the United States.
Based in Marshfield and part of the Marshfield Clinic Health System, Security Health Plan has developed a stellar reputation for its popular Medicare Advantage plans. In fact, those Medicare Advantage plans were ranked 17th in the nation out of 408 plans in the National Committee for Quality Assurance Medicare Health Insurance Plan Rankings for 2014-2015.
