A Letter and the Public Works Report at the Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council discussed a letter sent to an Owen newspaper at their meeting on Tuesday of last week.One alderman questioned Owen Police Chief Andrew Schade on why he handed a letter to the council after the last meeting. At the meeting was a copy of the letter addressed to Travis Rogers of the Sentinel and Rural News stating that his newspaper should request press releases from the Police Department instead of writing their own material which may contain inaccuracies.
The council also heard the public works report from Public Works Director Erik Stinson. He state that Todd Averill started as the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator on Monday, new curb and sidewalk was completed in areas of the City where it was needed and the leaks at Scharer Chiropractic were fixed and also at Parker's at the curb stop.
Finally, a representative from CliftonLarsonAllan presented a summarized result of the 2014 Financial Statements.
