Black River Falls Man Charged with the Death of Black River Falls Woman

-A Black River Falls man charged with the death of a Black River Falls woman made an initial appearance in Jackson County Court on Monday.According to a press release from the department, on May 17th, just before 11am, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office received an emergency 911 call regarding a single victim; unconscious and not responsive. The location of the emergency was at W10236 Vaudreuil Road in Black River Falls. Sheriff's Office deputies and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene. Once on scene, the deputy and EMS determined that 30-year-old Jacinda Muir was deceased.
A 23-year-old John Cook, was arrested for the incident and charged with 1st degree intentional homicide. He has a $1 million bond set against him and he'll be back in court for a preliminary hearing in August.
