-A Granton man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl back in 2009 pleaded guilty to the charges in Clark County Court on Thursday.According to court records, in June of 2009, a 16-year-old girl and friends were at the home of Timothy Wilson for a cookout near Chili. The 16-year-old reported that Wilson gave her alcohol and she and several others stayed overnight.
The next morning, the others left leaving the girl alone with Wilson. She then stated that Wilson pulled off her clothes and had sex with her against her will. The girl's mother reported the assault later and two family friends of Wilson told authorities that he admitted to having sex with the girl, but he stated it was consensual. Wilson had been charged with 2nd degree sexual assault and sex with a child age 16 or older.
During his final pre-trial conference on Thursday, the charge of 2nd degree sexual assault was amended to another charge of sex with a child age 16 or older. He entered a guilty plea to both charges and a sentencing date has not been set at this time.
