Thursday, June 11th, 2015 -- 9:19 AM
-The Neillsville City Council approved a task order for work being done on the sewer plant. The council approved the Wastewater Screening Task Order 17 from AECOM. The cost is $5,200 and it can't exceed that amount. It was first approved during the public works portion of the meeting before coming to the council.
The council also approved a couple items from a Grants Committee meeting held on June 1st. The first was they approved the guidelines provided by the CDBG HSG in approving loans for emergency repairs. An example of funds being provided in that type of scenario would be if someone's furnace broke in the middle of winter and they needed a new one.
The second was the housing policy for loan approval as drafted by the Chippewa County Housing Authority. The committee followed the policy for the most part; however, they decided to keep the Fair Market Value to not exceed 100% as opposed to the 120% being proposed by the state.
