Marshfield Clinic Youth Net Offering Summer Meals

Friday, June 5th, 2015 -- 8:17 AM

-Nutritious meals are very important for children not just during the school year but also during the summer.

So, to assure students enrolled in the Marshfield Clinic Youth Net summer program have access to nutritious food, Youth Net is providing a free Summer Food Service Program thanks to a partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

The program provides free nutritious meals to children ages 18 and younger at a time when free and reduced-price school meals are typically unavailable. Young adults ages 18 or older who are determined to be mentally or physically disabled and who participate in a public or private non-profit school program during the regular school year may receive free meals. Free lunches and snacks are also available to siblings.

Lunch will be served from 12:15-1:15 p.m. and snacks will be served from 3:30-4 p.m. Children not enrolled in Youth Net afternoon programming must be picked up by 1:30 p.m. at the Youth Net site at the former Sacred Heart Catholic School in Marshfield.
