-An Abbotsford man accused of being involved with a stabbing that occurred at El Norteno's in the Village of Curtiss appeared in Clark County Court on Wednesday. On November 1st of last year, around 1:30am, the Clark County Communications Center received the report of a stabbing. When they arrived, they made contact with the adult victim who had multiple stab wounds to the chest. The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
According to testimony from a Clark County Sheriff's Detective, Gonzalez and the victim were arguing over a Facebook post about a woman just before the stabbing occurred. The department identified Gonzales from video footage, his address, his vehicle and place of employment.
Gonzalez had disappeared after the incident, but on May 1st, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office arrested him during a routine traffic stop. Probable cause was found so his court proceedings will continue. He's free on a $2,000 cash bond and he'll be back in court in July for arraignment.
