Clark County Sheriff's Department Responds to Vehicle vs. Buggy Accident

-The Clark County Sheriff's Department responded to a vehicle vs. buggy crash on Monday.The crash occurred on County Highway H near County Highway K. According to the department, an Amish buggy was traveling east on Highway H. A truck, driven by a Greenwood man and traveling in the same direction, came upon the buggy and tried to pass. However, as it passed it clipped the rear driver's side of the buggy.
A 10-year-old Amish boy was swinging his legs off the corner of the buggy when he was hit. Both of his legs received compound fractures. The boy was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital by Loyal Ambulance.
Alcohol was not a factor in the accident. There were 6 people in the buggy and 4 in the truck. No one else was injured.
