Former Abbotsford Student Graduates from Basic Military Training

-A former Abbotsford student graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas.Air Force Airman 1st Class Kenneth R. Horacek completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Kenneth and Cathy Horacek of Athens. He is a 2009 graduate of Abbotsford High School. He earned an associate degree in 2012 from the University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire.
