5th Grader from Lincoln School District Winner of 2015 Karner Blue 5K-10K-Half Marathon T-Shirt Design Contest

-Sadie Schmidt, a fifth-grade student at Lincoln School District, has been selected as the winner of the 2015 Karner Blue 5K-10K-Half Marathon T-Shirt Design Contest.Sadie, the daughter of Rechelle and Craig Schmidt of Merrillan, drew a photo of a Karner Blue butterfly crossing the finish line with the slogan "Fitness Gives Wings!" Jackson County students ages 8 through 10 were encouraged to participate in the annual contest. Sadie will receive a free t-shirt featuring her design along with $20 in Chamber Bucks.
The 11th annual Karner Blue races, sponsored by the Black River Area Chamber, will be Saturday, July 18 with some 250 runners expected to compete.
