Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 -- 3:13 PM

-A Marshfield man involved in a Packer's ticket scam entered a plea in Wood County Court on Wednesday.

Patrick Blachut was arrested after he offered to sell people Packers tickets at businesses in Marshfield and Wisconsin Rapids. By the time he was arrested, most of the victims' money was gone as Blachut lost it gambling, had given it to family and paid some bills. He also scammed people in the Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls area.

The victims lived in Auburndale, Chippewa Falls, Fond du Lac, Marshfield, Plover, Wausau and Wisconsin Rapids and some of them spent over $6,000 on what they thought were season tickets. The scam began to unravel after the people went to Lambeau Field to get the tickets and there were none.

During his appearance on Wednesday, Blachut entered a no contest plea to the charges against him. He was found guilty of 4 felony false representation charges and 5 misdemeanor false representation charges. 3 other felony false representation charges and 3 other misdemeanor false representation charges were dismissed and read in due to a plea agreement. Blachut will be sentenced for the charges in August and he received a deferred sentence in Eau Claire County for similar charges.
