Walker Comes in 2nd in Straw Poll at Republican Leadership Conference

(CNN) -Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson handily won the presidential straw poll at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Oklahoma Saturday.It is the first major survey to take the temperature of the Republican presidential field in the south.
Carson took 25 percent, leading the pack of nearly 20 candidates.
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker came in second with 20 percent of the vote. He was followed by Texas Senator Ted Cruz with 16 percent.
Carson announced his presidential run earlier this month.
