-The Greenwood School Board heard a report from the District's newly formed Building and Grounds Committee. Many of the projects on the list for the different district buildings are considered a list of future projects, but the initial steps have begun on others. For the Middle and High School, Complete Control has completed all its work on the front door, but they're still waiting for a fire alarm tie-in. They also completed some minor repairs on a smoke stack on the west wing roof. Some other complete work includes boiler bearings have been replaced, replaced one water cooler for $1445 and they replaced two toilets for $930. Some other work that's pending is having the tennis court resurfaced.
For the district as a whole, the purchase of a 2015 used F250 Pickup for plowing from Courtesy Auto for $33,034 with a $5000 plow included was approved as was the purchase of a New 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan SE from Urban Sale's and Service for $25,190.
Another possible project includes upgrades to the Baseball Field. Kent Hinker would seek outside funding for grass infield with irrigation, sod relocated from north end of the ball field, infield material from Kafka, replacing the dugouts and new foul poles. The board gave the go ahead for this project and some financial help may be available through FUND 80, the Community Service account.
