-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators' Reports at their meeting last week.District Administrator Bob Houts reported that negotiations with Town and Country regarding the busing contract have begun. He also provided good news out of Madison that being the $150 per student that was cut in the original budget put forth by the Governor is reported to be put back. This means just less than $77,000 for the district.
Mr. Houts shared an article that appeared in the Chippewa Valley Technical College quarterly magazine that featured Owen-Withee students and their work with the Advanced Manufacturing trailer that was at the district during the 3rd quarter of the school year.
Finally, he presented to the Board an idea that was generated at the Teacher Recognition dinner that was held on May 6th. The idea of a lifetime pass for district retirees to district sporting and co-curricular events was well received by the Board. Mr. Houts will bring the idea back at a future meeting for official approval.
