Public Works Report at Owen City Council Meeting

Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 -- 9:54 AM

-The Owen City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting last week.

Public Works Director Erik Stinson reported they have flushed fire hydrants, did some sewer jetting and hired a summer lawn mowing employee. He also said there are two leaks going on. One is at Scharer Chiropractic and it's a water main leak and Dan Parker on 2nd Street is leaking from the turn off valve. The Mill Pond bathrooms have been locked up at night and opened during the day on the weekends. The concrete pile at the dump has been moved by the General Dollar Contractor and it looks a lot nicer.

He also said he attended a training held in Rice Lake. He received ood information about a CMOM report that is required by all municipalities to have. CMOM is the Capacity Management Operation & Maintenance Policy report and the council approved Erik to complete it.

Also, Owen's Police Chief, Andrew Schade, reported that two of his officers attended advanced sexual assault training.
