Clark County Sheriff's Department Participating in Drug Take Back Initiative Tomorrow

-The City of Neillsville and Owen, in cooperation with the Wisconsin Department of Justice, will coordinate a Prescription Drug Take Back initiative on Saturday, May 16th.The locations of the events are being held at Gordy's County Market in Neillsville and Scott and Lori's Family Foods in Owen. For those living in the Marshfield area, they'll be collecting at Shopko and at the Marshfield Clinic in the main Lobby. This effort will continue to bring focus to the issue of prescription opiate abuse and the goal is to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposal. Unused or expired medicine should never be flushed or poured down the drain.
All waste pharmaceuticals must be generated by a household, businesses are not allowed. Feel free to bring prescription and over-the-counter medications, ointments, patches, non-aerosol sprays, creams, vials and pet medications. Illegal drugs, needles, inhalers, aerosol cans, bio-hazardous materials, personal care products, household hazardous waste and mercury thermometers are not allowed.
