Presentation Begins Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board started their meeting on Monday with a presentation.Morgan Mueller and Stacy Rasmussen updated the Board on the flower garden that will be installed on the north side of the high school. The District received a $3000 grant from the family of Kyanna Darnell to develop outdoor activities that will involve elementary students.
This project will develop a memorial garden near the city bike path on the north side of school and incorporate flowers, butterflies, benches and a commemorative walkway that will be paved with stones with the names of people lost to cancer. The project will start with the high school students completing much of the prep work during community service day.
Elementary students will plant the flowers and continue the work on the garden during summer school. An annual endowment from the Darnell Family and the Eau Claire Foundation will allow the garden to continue and grow in future years.
