Neillsville Police Department Warns Area Businesses and Organizations that a Local Woman May Be Trying to Continue to Scam Them

Friday, May 8th, 2015 -- 10:44 AM

-The Neillsville Police Department would like area businesses and organizations to be on alert about a local woman who allegedly is continuing to scam them out of money. Korinia Feight of Neillsville has been accused of scamming money from local businesses and organizations in Neillsville, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids and more.

Neillsville Police Chief Scott Klueckmann posted on the department's Facebook page that on Wednesday, May 6th, he received information that Feight has allegedly resumed her scams focusing her attention on a rural church in the Granton area east of Neillsville.

Feight's story, one of many, is that her name is Lana Vejeo of Auburndale and she is a pregnant and abused wife who is trying to get to Texas. She claims to have an autistic son who is also being abused by her husband and she needs money to get her and her son out of state. Feight's vehicle is a Maroon Chevy Lumina.

Feight is not currently wanted by law enforcement but she has pending court action on similar crimes. She is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The sole purpose of Chief Klueckmann's alert is to warn churches and other charitable organizations that Feight is at work in the area. Feight has been charged in Clark County with 2 counts of misappropriation of I.D. information to obtain money, 3 counts of theft of moveable property and 3 counts of threats to injure.
