-A Thorp woman charged with child abuse in Clark and Wood Counties has reached a plea agreement here in Clark County during a hearing on Thursday.Amber Abramczak is facing child abuse charges here in Clark County after a doctor found fractured bones in her child's arm, leg and foot. Abramczak told authorities that she had become upset with the infant and pressed and squeezed her limbs very hard.
She's also facing similar charges in Wood County after a doctor at St. Joseph's Hospital saw her force a bottle into her child's mouth, tearing the skin between the child's lip and front teeth. After the child was admitted to the hospital, doctors discovered the broken bones in the arm and leg were done before the hospital visit and the broken bones in the foot occurred while the child was there.
Abramczak was scheduled for a motion hearing on Thursday, where the defense would have tried to suppress her statements. However, it was stated that the defense and district attorney were able to come to an agreement and a plea is expected to be entered at her next court date.
