-A former Abbotsford teacher accused of sexually assaulting two of his students entered guilty pleas to some of the charges against him.Back in January of 2014, the Abbotsford Police Department began an investigation into allegations that Andy Follen had an inappropriate relationship with some of his female students.
After authorities interviewed the two female students, who admitted to engaging in sexual activities with Follen, authorities charged him with five counts of sexual assault of a student by school staff. He was then charged with bail jumping and intimidating a victim after he was caught contacting one of the victims in this matter.
During a pre-trial conference on Monday, Follen's attorney and the Clark County District Attorney reached a deal regarding similar charges and Follen entered guilty pleas to two counts of exposing genitals to a child and 4th degree sexual assault. Two counts of sexual assault of a student by school staff, two counts of bail jumping and one count of intimidating a victim were dismissed and read into the record.
Follen will be back in Clark County Court on July 16th for sentencing. He'll be in Marathon County Court, where he's facing similar charges, in early August for a pre-trial conference and early September for a jury trial.
