Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 -- 9:37 AM
-The Neillsville City Council heard the public works report at their meeting last week. The usual amount of work was done in the city including equipment maintenance, clean up, hauling brush and compost, trimming trees, pruning bushes, straightening signs, etc.
Public Works Director Dave Flynn also mentioned that the Electronic Recycling event held last month went very well. They generated $1,170 for the Occupational Development Center. They're also working on replacing the storm sewer inlet and pipe on West 2nd Street by Hill Street as the pipe has rusted through and was causing sink holes.
The city is also having problems with its sewer jetter and they may need a new one as its 25-years-old. The bid opening for the new bar screen project is coming up on the 19th and it will be awarded on May 26th.
