Commnications on Several Topics at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-During the Neillsville City Council meeting on Tuesday, the council heard some good news regarding Memorial Medical Center.Councilmen Chuck Glassbrenner acts as a liaison between Memorial Medical Center and the city since the city provided a loan to the hospital about a year ago. Mr. Glassbrenner reported that the hospital saw an increase of $473,000 in assets compared to a substantial decrease before.
The hospital also has $1.5 million on hand and they've seen growth in all of their departments. They also showed a profit for the year by March and they hadn't achieved that until July or August of the previous year. The 2014 audit for the hospital will be complete soon and presented to the council in June.
A coupe other items mentioned during the meeting was the Clark County Economic Development Corporation's 25th Anniversary celebration in June and the Neillsville American Legion putting on their Memorial Day parade again this year.
