Justice Department Launching Body Camera Pilot Program

(CNN) -The Justice Department is launching a pilot program to provide body cameras to law enforcement.The program would award $20 million in grants to police departments nationwide to buy the cameras, as well as train officers on their use.
Attorney General Loretta Lynch says the program is vital for police tackling new challenges.
The program comes amid growing calls for criminal justice reform following growing allegations of police brutality toward minorities.
