Clark County Man Arrested After High Speed Chase in Spencer

-A Clark County man was arrested early this morning after leading Marathon County Sheriff's Deputies on a high speed chase.According to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department, around 1:20am this morning, a 20-year-old Clark County man passed a sheriff's deputy at a high rate of speed on County Highway C in the Town of Spencer. The deputy tried to pull the man over, but he sped up and refused to stop.
The vehicle drove toward City of Spencer and, at times, the man reached speeds of 100 mph. Once the man got to Spencer he drove through a red light and had a minor accident with a power pole, but he still kept going.
The man did eventually stop and he was arrested. He's been charged with fleeing an officer, speeding in a 55 mph zone and violating a red traffic light. His name has not been released and he's expected to be in court this afternoon.
