Neillsville School Board Members Retain Officer Positions

-The Neillsville School Board approved their officers and a few other items at their meeting on Monday evening.Dewey Poeschel remained as President, Sue Voigt remained as Vice President, Peggy Grap remained as Treasurer and Deanna Heiman remained as Clerk. Also, Deanna Heiman was selected as the CESA 10 delegate, Dewey Poeschel as the WASB delegate and Sue Voigt as the alternate WASB delegate. The board also approved First Agency as the student insurance provider and approved the adoption of Policy ID.
Finally, the board heard an Administrators' Report from District Administrator John Gaier. He reported on a thank you note from Mari Guibord, the Every Child Achieves Act, WIAA dues, the new Greenwood District Administrator, the last day of school, state-required testing sessions, vision and hearing screenings, the Common Core, the 2016 Medford Legislative Forum, a letter from Senator Terry Moulton and an email from Representative Quinn.
He also reported on the local government property insurance fund, an email regarding the Joint Finance Committee, a poll regarding Governor Walker, policy items in the state budget, voucher expansions, an article from the Leader-Telegram, an article regarding the challenges of being a superintendent, the CCEDC anniversary celebration, an article regarding a lawsuit and education-related bills in the state legislature.
