O-W School Board April Administrators Report

The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators' Reports at their meeting on Monday of last week.District Administrator Bob Houts reported to the Board on the progress of the athletic storage shed that the Booster Club is providing funds for. Instead of one big building, three smaller sheds will be built near the baseball, softball and football areas. The smaller sheds helped to cut the cost of the project in about half.
CESA 10 would like to do a survey of the building to determine lighting, electrical, plumbing and heating needs. The survey will be used to determine what projects should be undertaken and when they are needed. The Buildings and Grounds committee will discuss this.
Invitations to the Teacher Recognition banquet were given to board members. The banquet is set for Wednesday, May 6th. Mr. Houts distributed a handout created by Baird and Associates that showed how many referendums were run on April 7th, how many were successful and what the dollar amounts were. Finally, he shared with the Board that Brian Lewison will be teaching two Social Studies classes over the distance learning network to provide courses to Loyal.
