Personnel Committee and CDA Reports at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard the Personnel Committee and CDA Reports at their meeting last week.The Personnel Committee met for an Annual Review for Public Works Director Erik Stinson. The Committee recommended and approved a 75 cent raise bringing his wages to $22.75 for the excellent work and for having knowledge in aspects of Public Works.
Also, CDA Director Tim Swiggum gave the CDA Report. The Dollar General building is progressing nicely. Jobs at Dollar General will have to be applied for online but will need a store number first. James Louks reported he is tracking bonds. Master Packaging and Taylor's survey's should arrive soon. O.M.I. is being considered by four different businesses.
The Downtown Revitalization will be meeting on Thursday to discuss the car show and battle of the bands. The Owen-Withee Businesses Map is available at several locations in Owen and Withee. The map was created by the Owen-Withee Area Development Corporation and finally, Clark County Economic Development Corporation will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary on June 6th at the Winery with music, raffles and food.
