-Clark County and the UW-Extension Office are hosting a special workshop in Greenwood on May 7th.Melissa Kono, the CNRED Agent for Clark County, explained the free workshop in more detail.
She said, "It's to offer e-commerce training to businesses located in Clark County or Wood County. And it's a morning session on May 7th with an optional 1-on-1 appointment for half an hour on Friday, so it's a minimal time commitment."
"During that morning session, they will talk about the importance of having a web presence is for a business. They'll also take this SNG Assessment and, what's really neat about it, it looks and compares your business to like business and competitors, and it has all these points that it looks for, and it shows you what you're doing, what your competitor is doing, what you can do better, areas you might what to look at and where you're really strong. So, it creates this customized profile just so businesses can get a sense of what their doing."
"What's great about it is, people who are maybe not as tech savvy aren't going to feel lost and people who are very tech savvy aren't going to be bored. They customize it and it kind of depends on what people what to focus on too. Whether it's using social media, like Twitter or Facebook, or just having a website to sell your product or just market your product."
As I mentioned, the workshop is free and if you'd like to learn more or get signed up, you can contact Melissa Kono at the UW-Extension Office.
