Neillsville School Board Approves Changing the Last Day of School

-The Neillsville School board approved a donation and several other items at their meeting on Monday.The board approved a $500.00 donation from the Neillsville Kiwanis Club to the Neillsville Band and Chorus Departments. They also approved a 2015 summer breakfast and lunch program.
They approved the renewal of a track co-op with the School District of Granton for the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years as well. They approved curriculum updates for a handful of courses also including Elementary Physical Education, High School Physical Education, High School Health, Seventh Grade Science, General Science, Small Animal Veterinary Science, Plants, Animals and You, Biology and Anatomy as presented.
Finally, it was mentioned during the meeting that the last day of school for Neillsville has been moved from Thursday, June 4th to Wednesday, June 3rd. The district has not had to use all of their built-in inclement weather days, so the board decided to change the last day of school. However, this could change if the school had to be closed for any reason from now until the end of the year.
