A Short Presentation Begins Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council began their meeting with a public hearing regarding an application process for a grant to help them build a new lift station and street project.Kirk Skoog, of MSA Professional Services, explained the process of putting together a CDBG Application for the City of Owen Lift Station #1 and East 4th Street Projects. The council then approved two resolutions regarding that application including a resolution for the submission of a CDBG Application allowing the Mayor to sign all documents and providing a guarantee of matching funds for the CDBG-PF Application.
The council also approved a resolution enforcing applicable non-violent and civil rights demonstration law, adopting a fair housing ordinance, creating a residential anti-displacement and relocation plan and adopting a citizen's participation plan.
