Loyal School District Approves Starting Strategic Plan

-The Loyal School District approved starting a strategic plan for the district.At their meeting on Wednesday evening, the board approved to start the process of creating a multi-year strategic plan next month with a goal of having it completed before school starts next year.
The board also gave the Oath of Office to re-elected board members Jeff Acker and Katie Weiler and approved the 2015-16 school calendar.
The board approved three out-of-state field trips as well. The Spanish students are going to the Festival of Nations in Minneapolis, the Art students are going to a museum in Minneapolis and seniors are going to Gurnee, Illinois for a senior trip.
Finally, the board approved the resignation of Kevin Williams and Amanda Williams, approved the 2015-16 letters of intent, approved the substitute teacher pay from $85 to $95 per day, approved world history as a replacement for economics as a graduation requirement and approved the contracts for the Food Service Director and Tech Coordinator.
