National Library Week, Part 4
Thursday, April 16th, 2015 -- 11:48 AM
-This week is National Library Week.Jo Ann Gustavson, the Neillsville Public Library Director, talked about some of the other purchases the library has made thanks to the support of the library foundation.
She said, "Another source, in addition to our city budget, is the library foundation. And some of the most recent purchases that they have made possible is our new printer/scanner/copier fax machine, a book covering machine, which covers paperbacks and they also provide the funding for our website and newsletter."
"And that's something else we have new is our new website. It is www.neillsvillepubliclibrary.org. And we do a newsletter once a month, so if you want to be included in that newsletter just send us an e-mail or get a hold of us someway and let us know your name and e-mail and that way you can keep up with the events that are going on."
"We also got new carpeting this year in February. We were closed for a whole week and we had them lay down the carpet squares and it looks really nice. Everybody says how much bigger and brighter the library looks. So, that was a little hectic. We worked harder that week than we did normally, but Russell's of Neillsville had good guys and they got it done in a week."
Coming up on Friday, Jo Ann will talk about some of the upcoming programs the library is having.
